I've got a routing/setup-related question: I use Vienna Ensemble (not pro) with Cubase - one instance of VE per orchestra section, and in each of them there is one effect channel for convolution reverb. Why? Because the VE instance is limited to 16 MIDI channels and I can't route from one instance to another (or can I?).
Consequences being: When I want to change something about the reverb, like pre-delay or EQ or whatever, I have to tweak 4 instances of reverb across 4 instances of VE. That's not very comfortable.
Where's the fault in my setup? Could I do it differently with VE (not pro)? Would it help to upgrade to VE pro?
I've tried mixing in Cubase prior to this setup, but CPU load was higher and - for some reason, don't ask me why - instruments were not as clearly positioned in the mix. That's why I want to go with VE only.
Any advice on this setup is appreciated. Thanks!
