Dear members,
I'm building a VE Pro 6/DP9 template and could use some advice.
My goal is to keep everything organized and to have mix control over each separate instrument. Therefore, I want to assign each instrument to a different audio output. I reckon there are two ways to achieve this:
- 1 Instrument per Kontakt Instance, of which I like the look/organization/flexibility, but which means I have to load a LOT of Kontakt instances
- Multiple Instruments per Kontakt Instance and creating multiple outputs by clicking the track's + in the mixer
Would the second option lead to considerably lower CPU/RAM usage? And would it be as flexible as the first?
Another thing is about V-Racks: some users seem to put the tracks holding the link to their VE Pro instances in DP's V-Racks. I was wondering what further advantages this would bring, because I figured you can already switch between chunks and projects without having to reload the sounds.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
All the best,
