    Hi all!

A song I rendered from the Final Fantasy VII midis from the PC version, all from Special Edition Vol. 1. I used the original and added vel xfade curves.

    I hope you like it!

Well done. The mix sounds very good. Transparent even in the louder sections, which is something I struggle with in my mixes. If you can do this well with the Special Edition, you would really love the full versions of these instruments.

  • Hi EgM

I like both: The mix and the music.

If you want to improve your mix even more: I see a completely static mixer.. You could enhance your X-velocity curves with those of the audio level faders. So it would be possible to get fade-outs quite to "zero". Also, if you would use a bus for collecting all the strings, a bus for all the woodwinds and so on you could move the volume (automation) for whole sections - as a conductor it would do.

This is a possibility for having even more "lively music" with the "dead/neutral" samples...

    All the best

    Damn it!  I promised myself I wouldn't cry😢

An effectively moving and sentimental piece which was a joy to listen to.

[Excuse me while I grab my box of tissues]

And to think you did this with just the SE collections.  I'm wondering what you could do with the larger libraries.

    Nice work!
