will they ever update mir pro?

i hate latency + routing on VEpro - I enjoy the simplicity of just using MIR pro standalone...

however - not being able to apply VST(not vsti)  is kind of a bummer - however the biggest annoyance to me -

would be that you can only use 1 space at a time...

even on the lowest settings I still get too much extra latency using VEpro, on the same machine... MIR pro works fine - not a single issue - but VEpro in the same setup(just using audio inputs) is unplayable(especially for drums)

I'm not quite sure that I understand your question. VE Pro's "Audio Inputs" are indeed a quite demanding feature, despite the seemingly "simple" task they are serving: They have to dupe the DAW in a way that it doesn't hinder the plug-in from routing audio to the outside world - without the host even knowing. There's not much "they" could do about it in an update. ;-)

But as soon as you plan to use lots of audio streams in MIR Pro, I would strongly suggest to use its VST/AU plug-in version rather than the VE Pro-based full version anyway. Is there any reason why you wouldn't do so?

You're right Dietz. I used Audio Inputs untill it asked way too much to the computer. I switched to MIRpro plugin then, just had to plug the licenser to my main PC and it works fine now.

The issue is that I need more than one room, as well as not liking a billion 32 bit bridges for my template... That's the issue in having mostly, is you don't have the option for another room

Well - the whole concept of MIR was about bringing all instruments together into _one_ room, not many, so this feature wasn't on top of our to-do-list. ;-) ... but of course I understand what you're asking for, and as a matter of fact you can do this quite easily when using VE Pro as host. It's either / or: Less latency with MIR Pro as plug-in in your DAW, multiple Venues with MIR Pro in VE Pro (and its "Audio Input").

And while we're at it: I don't really understand your "32bit bridge" comment, sorry. Why are you using "millions of bridges" if you don't like them ...?

Well the main issue is I love the sound and life using mir pro on my e cymbals gives... but it's not good in a concert hall, yet I need a concert hall to really glue things together... For whatever reason I only have a 32 bit plugin, and I've tried reinstalling multiple times... maybe I'm wrong but I assume it's only 32 bit for mir... And I can't use vepro, adds too much latency - even when I give it 0 buffers, it just adds too much, trust me, that's the only reason I bought vepro And while I totally understand the concept behind mir pro, it's been used with multiple rooms by many-a-vepro setup - so I feel like adding the base functionality even for unintended use makes sense(when the users tens to use it this way anyways) Likewise, of you want less orchestral instruments in your template you're forced to use another reverb, which really sucks when you own mir and almost every room pack... It's like having a lambo in your garage but you have to take a moped

Hi Adminatron,

MIR has been a 64bit application since its very first release in 2009; the 32bit version has been added later, for the sake of completeness only. There must be something strange going on in your setup, therefore.

Please get in contact with support@vsl.co.at, including a reference to this thread and as many technical details as possible (OS, CPU, RAM size, audio system, driver and software versions). I'm sure VSL support team will sort  out this issue swiftly.

The way I envision your setup, I suggest to use MIR Pro plug-in with low latency settings for the majority of sound sources that can reside in a "concert hall". Add more MIR Venues in one or two VE Pro-based instances of MIR Pro for those few instruments that you want to put in different spaces.

Weird, reinstalled a few times, including a reformat - so I just assumed not seeing a 64 bit plug in wasn't by chance That said, the issue with using ve pro(as I've already considered the option) is that the latency added, including to the whole project Many of the instruments i would be adding to other rooms would be drums, ethnic percussiin and solo instruments... so I can't handle large amounts of latency
