    Hi! I just purchased MIR PRO with all the roompacks. I was wandering how would you add a MIR PRO BUS to all 40 instances of an existing template in VE PRO 6. I work in cubase on my main daw computer and have a separate slave server machine that hosts VE PRO with 40 instances each holding 16 Kontakt VI instruments. (why 16 each, because that is the only rela way to do it with cubase as cubase only takes 16 midi channels from one rack instrument at a time)

    I have played around with it and couldnt find a way to combine them all. There should be a way for it to work, right? 

    PS other way around is to use MIR PRO on my main daw computer for the group channels (violins, violas, etc.) but I really would love to have it on my slave PC integrated in VE PRO 6 (as that what seems to be it perfect working condition)

    Quick update:

    I was scrolling through this forum and found one workaround: to use Mir Pro as a vst plugin (not integrated) in VE PRO 6. Now the problem is since I have over 600 different instrument articulations does that mean I will have to position all 600 of them on one stage? Is there a way to combine them in groups? Sort of hoow you would do it with bus send fx.

    Also...

    Just tried that workaround and it adds very noticable latency to the sound. Makes instruments very hard to play in real time. I changed from 512 to 0 latency and it crashed my ve pro... duh... I will try setting it to 128 or 64 and will post update here

    Hi Tim,

    MIR Pro is indeed meant to be used on individual instruments, or homogeneous ensembles of instruments. The conventional "AUX send reverb" approach won't do, due to the fact that MIR also handles the positioning and volume of the direct signal components.

    You still can create "ensembles" by using sub-groups of dry, maybe pre-panned instruments and use MIR Pro in the insert of these busses. As you don't seem to use Vienna Instruments you won't lose many features, as you will have to assign (General Purpose) Instrument Profiles manually anyway.

    If you experience CPU bottlenecks, you can always keep MIR Pro's latency high (I suggest 1024 or more samples) and switch off individual instances for real-time MIDI recording.

    I compiled more suggestions in the chapter "Collected hints for your daily work with Vienna MIR Pro / MIR Pro 24" of MIR Pro's Manual, starting at p. 60.
