  • [SOLVED] VEP6/Omnisphere/Kontakt multis on Cubase 9

    Hi Folks,

    Please forgive my noobness -

I've successfully created a slave PC and can connect to and play instances of Kontakt and Omnisphere on Channel 1, but the problem is that when I add midi channels for the additional instruments within each instance (16 for Kontakt and 8 for Omnisphere) I can't hear sound coming from anything other than channel one in each instance.  I'm seeing a midi signal in both Cubase and the VEPro 6 mixer window for every midi channel and all channels seem to be appropriately connected and assigned. Based upon my experience with multitimbral instruments in use on a single, master system, everything looks good.  I'm stumped.

Any ideas/helpful links would be appreciated.  I know it's a simple switch somewhere that I've missed - but after hours of searching the net and watching countless youtube videos, I now turn to you.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers,

    Jim

  • Hi,

    I figured it out.

I may create and post a quicky video here for any other noobs that might have the same issue in the future.

The secret was of course on page 109 of the manual + the fact that I need to add a new midi control track to perform each instrument.

I knew it was a simple missed-step, and it was.

    Thanks for your time regardless.

    Cheers,

    Jim
