  • Separate Violin I & Violin II instances

    Hi all,

Has anyone been able to assign Violin I & Violin II to separate VI instances?

This is required so that Violin I and Violin II parts do not phase and so you can assign different dynamics and playing techniques to Violin I and Violin II.

I have set this up correctly in Playback Devices - pressing Test button plays Violin II correctly, as per Screen Shot 1.

But my Violin I and Violin II instruments in Sibelius both play the Violin I VI instance, as per Screen Shot 2.

    Ideas anyone?

    Thanks,
    Caign.

  • Hello Caign!

This problem can have different reasons. Please check out the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.

  • Thanks Andi. Have been through all suggestions there, stopping short of creating a second VE instance - this should not be necessary with an empty score, no switching of instruments. My config is basic symphony orchestra using Dimension Strings I. I'll send you the files so you can check.
