  • Logic and saved presets

    Hi,

I'm asking this question for Logic Pro X, but I guess it can be as valid for other DAWs.

I noticed that changes I do in a VI preset are saved together with Logic's project. Edit cells, change controllers assignments, do any other edit. When saving Logic's project, without saving VI's preset, the changes to VI are saved in Logic's preset. When reopening Logic's project, everything is in VI as left when saving it.

Is this as it is meant to work? I like it very much, since it allows for project-focused changes, without having to save a separate VI preset for each Logic project.

  • Hello PaoloT,

Yes, that's how it is supposed to work, each sequencer saves the current state of each plug-in with the project/song.

    Best,
