  • midi OUT of a VEP server

I'm running Numerology (a step sequencer) as a plug in in vienna on a mac and want to run the midi output back into my daw (win).

i've only been able to do it over hardware midi but the timing is terrible. shouldn't I be able to route the midi back to the daw over VEP?

as things stand the midi out is listed as Numerology AU out. I can't get this to show up in daw or as an option for the midi in on another vst instrument in vienna.

any theories welcome. torn most of my hair out trying to get this to work.

    thanks

  • HI charlton 279,

I'm afraid there is no MIDI Out option from VE PRO.

    feature request?

  • Hi charlton279,

I believe we will keep it the way it is for the near future, but your request is noted.

  • One thing i did with those kind of plugins is use a 3rd party plugin like bidule or ddmf's one to put as many in line as i wanted before going into vienna or the daw of your choice.

in my case im using 2 kontakt instances sending midi out volume off with - Arpology

Very very flexable. then i preset my arps and toggle active and bypass for the kontact node in bidule and pass them out virutal ports in my case on the mac IAC ports for each of my keyboards. NOTE I even use it inside of VEP for example making a custom string ensemble in one track. I can put in stuff from omnisphere and kontakt etc. It even works in instrument rack slots in daws one way to get multiple instruments in only one track.
