I'm using the VST3 version of VEP pro 6 within Cubase 9 and just realised that it will not send program change. What a bummer. I can't use VST2 as it's not multiport, any solution/work around ?

VST3/Cubase and VEP6, cannot send/receive program change

Use VST2 with the Event Plugin
Can you explain exactly what you mean, Bill? I've never used the Event Plugin.
Synchron - Woods, Brass, Perc I, Str Pro, Elite Str, Duality Str & Sordino, Prime Studio - Woods, Perc, Solo Str, Ch Str, Orch Str, App Str, Harps, Choir Studio Dim - Brass, Strings VE Pro, MIR Pro 3D, Vienna Suite Pro Cubase 14, Studio One 6, Dorico 5 -
It allows you to send additional MIDI ports to an existing instance of VEP
Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately that's a limitation of VST3, no idea why Steinberg decided to drop that feature with VST3.
Because they replaced it with Program Lists. The unfortunate thing is that because sample developers have not really got onboard with VST3, we are left in limbo until they do. 😛

I use a script in Cubase to convert to CC and then a Script in Kontakt to convert back to PC. Silly I know but I'm still using banks in some cases and cant use VST2 with all the multiple instances.
