    I'm using a thrashcan 12 cores Mac Pro with 64 GB ram, PT 12.6.1 HD and VEP pro 6 (server mode on the same machine as my DAW).

    I have one instance in my VEP pro project, the number of threads is set to 22 and midi ports and outputs to 48. In protools i instantiate an instrument track and insert VEP pro and connect to my VEP instance. Now, when i play a note in PT, the CPU in VEP hovers around 45-55%. 

    The same exact set up with Cubase 9, VEP shows 15-25 % CPU usage. Any idea why ?

    Also PT shows quite a bit of CPU spikes when connecting to VEP. If i disable the VEP insert in PT, i can run hundreds of aufio tracks with lots of plug-ins with no CPU spikes and PT hovers around 8% and extremely stable.
