  • How to point a Slave to a Master VST folder during install?

Questions I'm hoping those with a network VEP set up can help me with - Q1 - when I install VEP on a master PC do I need to have a Vienna key inserted if I'm only planning on using the master as a DAW host i.e. My VEP servers will be in the slave machines - how do install VEP if I'm not using a server on that machine without using up one of my licenses? Q2 - when I install VEP on a slave PC I'm requested to select the VST folder for my DAW. On one computer this is an easy enough answer, but what should I select if my DAW (and associated VST plugin folder) is on a different (master) computer? How do I point to it? Thanks!

  • Hi windy,

Q1: You don´t need a key, simply install VE PRO and use the VE PRO plug-in to connect to your servers.

Q2: The VST Plug-in Folder MUST be on the same computer for the host to find the plug-ins.
