  • VE Pro licensing details

Sorry to question this since its probably been asked man times before, but I could not find a clear answer on the website or in the forum.

I would like to run VEPro 6 on two computers - my studio workstation and my laptop. I have the VEPro master installed and running on my workstation. Fantastic software, performs (nearly) flawlessly.

I know that I can run VEP Server on another computer simulataneously networked with this, but I would like to have VEP itself (not the server) running on my laptop for mobile use away from my studio. In case it matters, this is in order to use a 3rd party VST for live performance, not Vienna Instruments.

Is this possible with my current license? Or do I need to buy the VEPRo/Server multi-license package again in order to use it independantly of my studio?

In either case, I assume I will need to buy a second eLicenser dongle for the laptop. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance for an explanation, or a link to a web page that explains the VEPro licesing.

    Hi Bruno,

this is from VE Pro's Feature List (... it's below the "Existing Features"-section):

Vienna Ensemble Pro comes with 3 licenses for setting up a multi-computer network.

Your assumption is correct that you have to spread these three licenses over individual eLicensers (Vienna Key, Steinberg Key etc.) if you want to have three machines connected to your master computer.

The Video Tutorials on this site might help, too: -> https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Vienna_Software_Package/Vienna_Ensemble_PRO#!Video_Demos

    Kind regards,
