Steps to reproduce:
- Create one track with Apassionata Vl-20_perf-legato and a 2nd track with Apassionata Vl-20B_perf-legato;
- Invert the phase on one of the tracks;
- Send both tracks identical MIDI of a B above middle C. The samples are clearly identical and almost null.
- Play just about any phrase. The mix's volume jumps erratically, indicating that many of the samples are identical or unnaturally correlated.
In normal practice (not phase-inverting anything), this means that if you play unisons between Vl-20_perf-legato and Vl-20B_perf-legato, the stereo width jumps around erratically. I heard this clearly while trying to produce music with Vl-20B_perf-legato, which is why I went on to do the test described above.
