VE Pro 6 and Dorico

Hi,

What can I do to connect Dorico to Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 ?

I am new with Dorico: I've just installed it today but I don't arrive to replace VE Pro 6 in place of Halion Sonic.

Dorico is not compatible with VSL yet, you have to wait if you want to use Expression Maps !

My problem is that in the Reproduction window of Dorico, I see VE Pro in the list of VST instruments.

I select that and I click on play (green triangle) but nothing sound.

It seems like Dorico and VE Pro 6 are not connected.

So, this is not, in my case,  a problem of using  Expression Maps; is a problem of connecting both programs: Dorico and VE Pro 6.

This phrase of Dbudde (in this forum) : "In 5 minutes with Dorico, I was able to get VE Pro 6 working with VI Pro 2.  Seemed to be stable and intuitive", seems to indicate that Dorico can connect with VE Pro 6. But how ?

Hello José!

I have moved your message to a new thread, because the thread you have originally posted in is about Overture.

Please check the following things:

- Did you start Vienna Ensemble Pro Server?
- Did you load the Vienna Ensemble Pro plugin in the Dorico Play mode?
- Did you connect it to the VE Pro Server?
- Did you load instruments and assign channels in VE Pro?
- Did you assign your instruments on the Dorico Play page to Vienna Ensemble Pro?
- Did you set the channel numbers to the same numbers as in VE Pro?
