  • VEPro and Cubase 8.5 can't both work

    Hello all,

    Dear Vienna,

I am trying to set up VePro with my Win 10 Cubase 8.5 64 bit, fast machine.

    I an new to VePro

Installed VEPro6. Updated the app and licences too. After a bit of installation seem to have it working, if I click on the server it loads up, however, If I open the server and then run Cubase 8.5, Cubase gives this message:

"Application/Cubase  has caused the following error

An important service has become unresponsive

Please restart your computer and install the latest version of ELicencer Control software in case the problem persists"

I have restarted and I have installed the latest version of Elicencer.

If I run Cubase without loading VEPro CUbase loads with causing error messages. When I then load Vepro6 it

    Vepro returns the following error:

" Soft Elicencer doesn't have enough permissions to run properly. Please run LCC to fix this."

    running LCCdoes not 'fix this'

Vepro then loads and seems to work as far as my untrained eyes can see.
Both methods give error messages. I dont know what I should do

  • Hi ZeroZero,

These error messages refer to the Soft eLicenser (which we are not using).

If you don´t have any licenses stored on the soft eLicenser, the best idea is to simply erase it:

Delete the file: SeLicenser.sel in "C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\"
(the "ProgramData" - folder is a hidden system folder, make sure that you see it: Organize => Folder and Search Options => "View" Tab)

    Best,
    Paul

  • thank you I have done this and it works

  • Sorry spoke too soon this does not work if I open Vepro before Cubase 8.5 win, I get this error message. If I open Cubase first I do not get the error message. Things appear to work this way

  • Hello Zero!

I have answered your mail with the same question that you have sent to support@vsl.co.at.

    Best regards,
