  • Sibelius and jazz drums

I am working on some past projects and converting them to using ensemble pro 6 Is there any way to incorporate the jazz drum into the ensemble pro like I did with the imperial keyboard? I read your past answered recommending to use Sibelius general midi, but my active device list only shows Sibelius 7 sounds When I try to load the drums in the manual sounds, and this with is enaemble pro , there is no sound is when I pick drums from the ensemble plus List. I did load the piano this way, should I be loading g as a plug in like I did with the imperial keyboard? Thanks Andi John

  • Hello John!

In general I must say that the Jazz Drums were developed for usage in a DAW and you will get better results in a DAW. They can be used in Sibelius though. To do so, add a drum set instrument to your score, activate Vienna Ensemble (Pro) or VE Pro Event Input and load the General MIDI sound set in Sibelius. In the Vienna Instruments (Pro) Player load one of the Gereal MIDI VI presets.

    Best regards,
    Andi
