Like other Dimension String users on this forum, I am struggling with voice dropout when composing/playing legato passages with a full string section of 10 first violins, 8 second violins, 6 violas, 6 cellos and 4 basses.
But I am also experiencing another sound quality problem. I find that when long sustained notes are played at a high velocity, particularly in the lower registers of the cellos and basses, there is a sharp interruption and wobble instead of a smooth sustain. When I play with a lower velocity, it seems to be better. Has anyone else experienced this?
Another example occurs when I play one note with the Dimension Basses using the pFp 6sec patch at a higher velocity. After approximately 3 seconds, I hear a loud scratchy interruption to the crescendo and then a wobble instead of a nice, smooth crescendo and sustain.
