When I go to purchase my VE update, the price shows as Euro versus dollars. How much am I actually paying? Thanks.

Product Purchase Price

As a VSL veteran, I should have known better. My most recent purchase was 245 euros (the VEP 6 upgrade, Bb2 Clarinet and Bb Trumpet). I bought directly from VSL.
After Paypal converted the Euros and (probably) added a conversion fee, it came to 283.59 dollars.
The current conversion is about 1.13 dollars to one euro. (It changes from day to day.)
It's confusing because Ilio's prices are identical to Vienna: Ilio is in dollars and Vienna is in euros. For example, the VEP 6 upgrade on Ilio's site is 85 USD, and on VSL it's 85 Euro. So you see the same price and you think the exchange rate is 1:1.
Wrong. I took about a fourteen percent hit buying directly from VSL after the dollar exchange. I can tell you that VSL gets you the codes more quickly. Ilio has to verify the order "with a human being" as they say, which in the past took about a day or so. In fact, I think I bought from Ilio once on a Friday and had to wait out the weekend for the order to get approved.
Bottom line: if you're in the States, get it through Ilio. (Paul can correct me if I'm wrong.)
Oh boy. Plowman's dropped a couple of pricing balls in the last two days. I hope Cshorte can benefit from my mistake.
