Has VSL provided HP definitions for playing back on Finale 25? I love the fact that Finale is much faster since it is now 64 bit but am still stymied by the incompatibility of VSL actually being useful as the playback sounds. All of Finales' efforts have gone into compatibility with Garritan and ignored all other sound sets. Does anyone have a solution to this ongoing issue? A call to MakeMusic puts the problem squarely in the lap of VSL.

VSL HP definitions for Finale 25

In the past VSL has proved HP preference for the SE range of instruments, and I imagine that's the way it will remain for the foreseeable future.
It's certainly not hard to create your own, though rather tedious.

Dave,
I found it better to create one myself. Yes, it is tedious in Finale. Also, Finale's way of articulation is unclear. It is a bunch of guess work. VSL way of matricies and the Finale way don't also mix well.
FYI, I have to do the same thing with Cubase. The expression map given to us from VSL won't work great out of the box. It needs major modifications.

Thanks Andi I already use the key switch dump, which is fine. I just read about the Human Playback Preferences for Finale and thought they might work with my VSL libraries. Someone elsewhere on another forum has said that building HP Prefs in Finale is easy, but tedious. I thought maybe I'd find out if such a thing existed for VSL owners like me.
