  • [SOLVED] lots of crashing...

I'm merely loading samples into Kontakt on a remote server (mac Mini)

When playing back the samples from Cubase, both VEP6 on the remote machine as well as Cubase crash...

Well... they don't crash because I don't get a window saying: your program crashed.

It's as if VEP is sending a QUIT command to Cubase on my main machine.  All instances of VEP are decoupled.
When this happens, VEP6 on my slave will restart, ask me if I want to reload the last saved session after a crash. However, when I click on YES, nothing happens.

  • Hi schlossax,

    Thanks for the report.

Does this also happen when the instances are NOT decoupled (click "Decouple ALL" in the VE PRO plug-in in Cubase)?

  • I will try and report back.

Ive also noticed VEP crashing on my DAW machine after perios of inactivity.

Even when Cubase isn't open, if I leave the computer for a few hours, I come back and VEP6 has crashed.

  • Hi schlossax,

Please send your crash-reports with short descriptions of the steps to reproduce to support@vsl.co.at, our developers will analyze them and provide a fix asap.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Paul

I suspect these crashed might have had to do with the fact that I did not have the latest eLicenser at the time.

I'm happy to report that after downloading it, it's been quite stable!

Could be a good thing to let people know they should download the latest eLicenser OR, that the eLicenser is downloaded/installed when you install VEP6.

It's entirely possible that I missed that note if you've already included it.

thanks for the quick response on this matter
