Dear forum members,
I just finished a new demo production of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, made with VSL Orchestral & Solo Strings and set up in the NRF Hall (Sage Geteshead). Here you can listen to two versions:
a) a pure NRF room sound version
b) a version with additional algorithmic reverberation (PhoenixVerb)
In terms of sound I wanted to achieve a somewhat saturated, slightly distorted "old school" character, so you'll hear some additional distortion processors as well as the venue's room tone in these 😉
The VEP project file with the complete MIR setup, routing and mixing will soon be available to VTC participants/alumnae & alumni (you'll receive a mail with the details as soon as the materials are online).
Hope you'll like these as much as I enjoyed making them 😉
