VE Pro 5 license for VE Pro 4?

Hi;

 

I have VE Pro installed on my Mac Pro. I'd like to use an old G5 Duo for a master sequencer and slave the Mac Pro. I have installed the latest working version of VE Pro 4 on the G5. I'm trying to use one of my VE Pro 5 licenses. Should this work? I'm getting a "could not find license..." error, but I see the license on my key.

Hello Mike, 

VE PRO 5 licenses will only work with VE PRO 4 if they are upgraded licenses (from VE PRO 4=>5). 

Straight VE PRO 5 licenses will not work with VE PRO 4. 

Personally, I wouldn´t suggest to use a G5 in any setup anymore.
