    Hey all (and Vienna), 

    Looking to setup a small VE Farm (One Master, 1-2 Slave) and have a few questions.

    Has anyone (including employees) attempted to run VE Pro (slave) on what I could lovingly call "previous generation" server hardware?

    There are a lot of complete servers up for grabs out there with 128GB+ of RAM from old server farms running 1-4 Xeon chips and large RAID configurations for less money than it would cost to build a current-gen i5 with 16GB of RAM. Has anyone attempted this kind of machine as a slave? 

    Secondly, is VE Pro installable/runnable on Server 2008?
