  • use of panning in VE with MIRx

    Hello,

I just installed a 30 trial of MIRx and am extremely impressed.  It seems to me that with the pre-defined placement of instruments on the various stages, it is no longer necessary to use the pan and power pan features in VE. Is this correct, or are there still benefits to be gained by adjusting these settings even when using MIRx?

Thanks for any help that can be offered.

    Mike

  • As you suggest, apart from some unusual effect you might have in mind Pan and Power Pan in VE no longer serve a purpose for channels using MIRx. Anything you would do with them would mess with what MIRx is doing.

    That's absolutely correct.

Sometimes PowerPan comes handy for swapping left and right channels to mirror the positions offered by MIRx, for more flexibility. The result won't be "as intended", for obvious reasons, but most of the time you can get away without weird side-effects.
