  • [SOLVED] Dimension Strings II not visible

    Hi There,

I got myself the Dimension Strings II (violin), I activated the licence, I downloaded it and installed it.

I went to the directory manager and scanned the folders.

But when I opened the standalone Vienna Instruments Pro or the plugin in cubase 8.5

the Dimension Strings II violin sordino is not there.

Do I need to have or do something extra?

    Thanks in advance, Farid

  • You might need to update eLicencer.

Dorico, Notion, Sibelius, StudioOne, Cubase, Staffpad VE Pro, Synchon, VI, Kontakt Win11 x64, 64GB RAM, Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, August Forster 190
  • Thank's Bill,

I got the latest version of Elicense control center, still no DSII.

    Thanks for the advice!

    Warm regards, Farid

    Hi,

Did you update the Vienna Instruments / PRO player yet?

New content also needs the latest software!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

I just downloaded the latest version and tried it out, but still no DSII,...

    Thank you for the advice!

    Warm regards, Farid

  • Hello Farid,

    Please send some screenshots of

    - VI PRO with the Preset Browser open,

    - the folder that contains your DS II samples (should  be *.dat files)

    - your Directory Manager

    -  your eLicenser Control Center that shows the license for DS II (called "Vienna Instruments 36" until the next eLicenser Update)

    => to support@vsl.co.at, I´ll take a look!

    Thanks for your patience!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thank you Paul, I just did.

    Wr, Farid

  • I have been looking totaly crossed eyed, they are there.

Again thanks for your help Paul!

    Merry Christmas!

  • I'm having the same problem...

Would you mind sharing how you got your eyes uncrossed...I need to do that!

    Thanks, Joe Huffman

  • Hi Joe,

The files are called "con sordino" in the Browser, maybe that helps.

If you cannot see them, please send a screenshot to support@vsl.co.at

    Best,
    Paul
