    Hi!

    I'm trying to find a workaround for using VST3 plugins in Ableton (9.5).
    Is it possible to run a slave computer as VST3 server (also: how do I initialze a VST3 server?) and then be able to connect to it from Ableton 9.5 which currently only supports VST2?

    I have Auto-Tune 8 which is VST3 only.

    It doesn't matter. You can't run VST3 plugs in VEP anyway.

    From manual though:

    Vienna Ensemble Service Interface: Connects with the Vienna Ensemble Service(s) on your computer. The Service Interface works as AU/VST/VST3/RTAS plug-in. 

    May by that's why I was fooled...

    The connector from your DAW can be VST3, but the plugs the slave hosts can only be VST2
