  • Inserting channels for third party VSTs in VE Pro

I apologize if this has been asked before, I could not find it in the search engine.  I would like to use G-Player in VE Pro but I do not see a way to insert it in a channel as all channels seem to be proprietary to Vienna Instruments (VI, VI Pro, Vienna Imperial, etc.). Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • Have you set the correct VST folder in the VEP preferences?

Are you trying to load 32bit plugs in a 64bit instance of VEP?

    DG,

I believe I have the VST folder in the default area on my CL/ drive with al my VI VSTs.  Is there a specific place it should go?   pretty much only run VEP as 64 bit, and G-Player is a 64 bit program.  What channel would I need to load it in.  Are thrid party VST able to run in VEP?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • It doesn't matter where the folder is. You just have to make sure that VEP "know" and that's doe in the VEP Preferences.

I run 3rd party VSTi and VST in VEP all the time. Is it that there is no button to click, or just that there are no 3rd party plugs available?

    DG,

I don't know how to get VEP to recognize VSTs.  Look at the screen cap.  You see that when I open the "Add Plugin" tab, the only thing available id Vienna Imperial.

Please open VE Pro's Preferences and point it to the folder(s) where your plug-ins reside.
