This is an original piece I wrote and realized using VSL Solo Strings I - Standard+Extended. It was inspired by the string sinfonias of Tomaso Albinoni and the cello sonatas of Benedetto Marcello.

VSL Solo Strings I - Short Piece for Strings

My hope is to continue writing pieces in this genre using VSL Solo Strings to realize them. I feel like I've just scratched the surface of what the library is capable of.

  • Very nice piece and well done performance with VSL. Sounds almost realistic.

Its true that there is miles to go before one even needs fancy articulations like richochet or bartok pizz.. There is plenty of classical music that uses even the basic artciulations VSL provides. I like the detache especially.

  • Li Leslie,

What a wonderful and charming piece of chamber music. I like it a lot and congratulates you with the splendid setting of articulations. It's not easy to make the solo strings sound that way (very baroque-like).

Your rendition and balance are perfect. Maybe (and I don't say that a lot) it could benefit from a little more 'room', a baroque concert room... Now it sounds as if we would be on the lap of the musicians (LOL).

But as a whole, fantastic! I can't wait to hear some more from you (pieces of that kind as you promise).

    Max

  • All I can say is WOW... Keep it up!
