Vienna Ensemble Pro Workflow Advice Needed
Been using VEP for a while now but not sure if I am using it the most efficient way.At the moment I have one main DAW template in Logic. Due to the complex nature of connecting to an instance and assigning many MIDI tracks to it to control multiple articulations I have set it up like the following example:• 1 x VEP server plugin on a Software Instrument track controlling a Kontakt instance on remote VEP server with multiple instruments loaded on separate Midi channels.• Up to 16 midi tracks assigned to above for the various articulations. This VEP instance on the remote server is saved with all other instances inside a metaframe and preloaded before opening the DAW.However if I want to have different templates for different scenarios, or load in track sets saved as presets this method will not work as well.If I save each VEP instance as a separate .viframe, then connect to them outside a .mframe will that mean I can simply open a DAW project and have that load the necessary instances? Do I need them saved into a metaframe? At the moment I am finding my main template has too much loaded really, basically everything I can think I might use, but frequently I am finding I have a lot of stuff that ends up unused and its pushing my RAM even though I have 1 x 64GB and 2 x 32GB machines!!

I have tried that, however some of my instances have environment transformers and they do not get saved with the patches. However I might be able to use the scripts feature in Logic X to do the same things, if I can I will try that.
However how do I set up VEP so that instances only load on use, do they not have tosit inside a metaframe?
