  • Matrices -why all those patches

    Hallo,

looking at the matrices, e.g. triller for solo violin (fill) I see a lot of patches on the horizontal line. Why is this?

    Hello Raymond,

I guess you are referring to the "21 VI Trills - All" Matrix.

The rows contain different versions of trills (you can see the full names of the loaded articulations to the right of the matrix in Basic View, see attached screenshot).

More details can be found in the Library Manual.

    Best,
    Paul

  • No, I was referring to Vi 31- perf trills. I wondered why pizzicato snap was included in the matrix, among some other articulations hardly ready for trills......

I am talking about Full library Solo strings... Matrix VI-Pro 2

    Greetings,

    Hi,

    That´s an APP sequencer-based matrix.

Find out more about this powerful tool in the VI PRO Video Tutorials.

    Paul

I did several times and did not link the text spoken to the abbreviation.

  • Hi Raymond,

APP Sequencer stands for Auto-Playback and Pattern Sequencer. It offers a vast variety of presets with chord voicings and phrases. You can use it to trigger rhythmic patterns, runs and accompanying arrangements of the whole orchestra at the touch of a single key.

    Best,
    Stefan

  • Good morning Stefan,

now I am aware of the meaning of the abbreviation. It seemed so strange to me, because the "APP" today has another meaning (apps for driving a car, etc....) and I didn't link it with the spoken words in the video tutorials. By the way, the link presented by Paul works allright, but clicking on a videotutorial doesn't give the whole screen. Sometimes the bottom isn't visible. It is the player in Firefox? No harm done, because I also have the downloads of the same videotutorials.

It is a great feature, which I already used to define my own scale runs........

    Greetings,
