vienna imperial

I just upgraded to the full keyboard, vienna imperial, included.  I had been using the bosendorf found in vienna ensemble, but never really liked the sound, so I ended up using the piano with kontakt 4.  I have added the vienna imperial to sibelius as a new active device, but it has no sound set, and defaults to general midi.

Is there a way to take advantage of this larger library for grand piano with sibelius7.5?

I have the latest sibelius soundset software.

Hello John!

For the Vienna Imperial, please use the Special Edition sound set with the "Piano" program or the Special Edition PLUS sound set with the "Bosendorfer" program. You can make usage of the full library in Sibelius.

do I set up an activate Vienna Imperial as with the sound set special edition plus?    Or do I activate another instance of vienna ensemble.     I notice with the first,   when I pushed the button to find the interface from the mixer,  the vienna imperial sound device came up, an empty box , slightly similir to sibelius's.   It asked to load sound samples which i could find none.  

am i just loading piano in on of the instances like I have always done, but now when I pick Bosendorf, it is a much bigger file set, with better samples?   it looks the same to me.

Hello John!

I'm not sure, if I understand your question. You can load Vienna Imperial directly as a VST- or AU-instrument in Sibelius, or you can load the Vienna Imperial as a VST- or AU-instrument in Vienna Ensemble. However, you can't load it inside the normal Vienna Instruments interface.

The folder with the sample content of the Vienna Imperial (.dat files) has to be assigned in the Directory Manager.
