  • Where can I buy these things?

    Hi,

I am just getting into the mixing side of things with Mir Pro. There are some tools mentioned which sound useful, but I can't find where to buy them.  For example on the Vienna Suite page here, I see the following (among other things):

    • Equalizer for silky smooth highs and deep and powerful lows – includes an integrated 120 band spectrum analyzer. Extremely low CPU usage.
    • Master Equalizer provides 3 filter types on 5 bands and additional high and low shelf filters with 2 filter types. The use of 4x oversampling makes internal calculations extremely precise. The weapon of choice for delicate sonic mastering tasks.
    • Limiter with real-time input/output waveform display and auto-mode for transparent maximization.
    • Compressor â€“ featuring modern and vintage algorithms and a real-time input/output waveform display.
    • Multiband Limiter â€“ offering 4 bands with transparent crossover filters and an additional full-range brickwall limiter at the final output stage.
    • PowerPan for powerful stage positioning of instruments, featuring real-time audio angular analysis.
    • Exciter â€“ offering 4x oversampling, tone-color sliders for mixing odd and even harmonics, and a high frequency FFT spectrum analyzer.

However if I look at the 3 individual products listed as part of the Vienna Suite, none of them contain the things on this list. And I don't need many of the other things in the Vienna Suite.

    Can somebody explain this?

    Thank you,

    Alan Belkin

The Vienna Suite includes all the plugins you listed, and of course the convolution as well as the hybrid reverb. Unfortunately, they aren't available separately. When you purchase the Suite, you get the whole package.

The three individual products you're mentioning: I assume you're referring to Numerical Sound FORTI/SERTI and insp:ir Vienna Edition? Those are impulse responses for the convolution reverb and are not included in the package. Yeah, the product page is a little confusing. 😊

  • Yes, I meant Forti, Serti, etc. So the Vienna Suite includes MORE than those three products listed?

  • Yes, in fact, Vienna Suite includes everything except those three products. Convolution reverb, hybrid reverb, EQ, mastering EQ, compressor, limiter, multiband limiter, exciter, powerpan, analyzer, goniometer - that's all in there.

Really? The product page makes it appear as if these IRs are part of the Vienna Suite package... Totally misleading!

  • Hi Alan

As Jimmy said the Vienna Suite includes your wanted plug-ins plus "just" the Convolution Reverb, the Hybrid Reverb, the Goniometer and the Analyzer.

Vienna Suite doesn't include FORTI, SERTI and INSP:IR Vienna Edition.

As a Vienna Suite user i can tell you that i love everything in it, i wonder whether you can get a demo license and see how good it is. It also has a very affordable price with regards to the powerful mixing tools it offers.

... but the Convolution Reverb and the Hybrid Reverb come with their own "Impuls Responses" (IRs) - recorded by VSL. They are very good so that FORTI, SERTI and INSP:IR not are necessary. Of course it is always nice to have such additions...

Hoppe that all is clear now.

  • Thank you!  :-)

  • You can indeed do a demo, and I'd definitely suggest that.  They're great products!  Just make sure that while you're demoing, you demo all the peripherals you can too, like FORTI/SERTI before the trial period runs out.
