    I saw this question already in the forum, but I did not see a clear answer, pardon me if I missed it.

    I am currently downloading Dimension strings. Do I need to apply the library updates, or are they already included in the version I am downloading?

  • hmm.. Interesting question.

     

    Since nobody has answered I'll take a shot in the dark and say that Yes you will have to download the updates.  It shouldn't hurt to download them anyway.

     

    However,

     

    If there are updates available in your user area for whatever libraries you've purchased and you want to download them then I don't think it would hurt to do so but my own personal feeling is I only update if it effects my workflow.  If it doesn't then why bother?

     

    My suggestion would be to work with the product as is and if any issues come up then, yes update.  Otherwise, don't worry about it.

    Most Library Updates have been included with the download files, especially with the older products. 

    We usually let some time pass before these rare fixes are included with the Library Download, so with newer products like the Dimension Strings it´s a good idea to apply the Library Updates. 
    As jasensmith said, the Library Updates won´t do any harm in any case and only take a few seconds to download and apply.

    Do you have an answer to my other question, about why my Dimension Violins have no matrices? I did the update and still there are no matrices. All the other sections are normal.

    I am now trying downloading the violins for the second time, and I will try to reinstall them. If it does not work work, I'll send you a screenshot.
