  • solo voices

Hi, I would like to know if the voices sampled can reach only determinate notes and not others: does the soprano reach the F present in the Zauberflote in the Night's queen aria? Or the profound bass reach the C1 (anyway the most bass note that they can reach)? ANd if I would like to make impossible things, can I?

    Thanks, Eraldo.

  • If I'm not mistaken, one of the features of Vienna Pro 2 allow you to transpose an instrument beyond it's range by ,I think, 2 whole or 3 whole tones, I'm not sure.  I think beyond that range you start hearing aritifacts and it sounds fake overall.

    Check this out:  http://vsl.co.at/en/Vienna_Software_Package/Vienna_Instruments_PRO

Towards the bottom it says:  "Extended Instrument Ranges."

Of course, you have to own Vienna Pro in order to make it work but you could download a demo license to see if it works for you.

  • Hello Eraldo,

    The voices’ ranges are: Coloratura Soprano F4–F6; Soprano C4–D6; Mezzo-Soprano A3–C6; Alto F3–A5; Tenor C3–D5; Baritone G2–G4; Bass C2–E4.

jasensmith is correct, you can extend the range by 2 semi-tones with VI PRO.

What are the "impossible things" you´d like to do?

    Best,
    Paul

  • The fact is that the singers have more octaves than the usual. Mariah Carey has three or four octaves.

    This is my problem. Eraldo.

  • Or they can go down or up two semitones for the whole scale.

  • Hi,

Unfortunately Mariah turned down our offer.

    Paul
