  • [SOLVED] a mistake in the piccolo library :-(

I just downloaded it. In the description (full library) it says:

    • Strong crescendo and diminuendo with vibrato 2, 3, and 5 sec.
    • Strong crescendo and diminuendo without vibrato, 1.5, 2, 3, and 4 sec.

... but there are only crescendos, no diminuendos.  There ARE pfp notes (cresc and dim), but I need the dimuendoes for ends of phrases, so pfp is no use to me here.  :-(  Why only crescendos???

    ???

  • Hi Belkina,

the A/B switch should alter between crescendo and diminuendo.
Maybe you are triggereing the wrong octave for this switch (mapped to A0 and B0). The gap between playrange of the piccolo and A/B switches is pretty large.

  • Thanks.  :-)

  • In addition to Herb's input:

Some host apps may show key input differently, eg displaced by an octave. So, when you think you're playing A0 or B0, you're actually playing A1 and B1.

For example, In Logic Pro there is a pref to select to display Middle C as either C3 or C4.

You can always just click on the A/B keys marked on the VI or VI Pro keyboard in the plugin.
