    Hello,

    I am recreating an orchestral score to familiarize myself with VSL and composing with MIDI.

    The opening phrase of the piece is played by the contrabassoon (G1,G#1,D#2). I chose the performance legato (pLeg) and I noticed when it made the transition from G# to D# a very prominent click sounded. With some experimentation, I found that this click only sounds between the intervals of a major third and a ninth. I thought that turning off the release samples might fix it, but it didn't.

    Does anyone have an idea why this is and how to fix it?

     

    Note: I'm using Cubase 5 and the SE Vol.1 Bundle.

    If you fix it you'll also have to fix the contrabassoon, because the keypads of this instrument naturally make clicking noises.  These were recorded for realism.
