  • standard vs extended solo strings I

I have solo strings 1 standard and just for curiosity I was looking at the available samples in the extended library in vienna instruments.

I noted that the matrix for the performance samples has many more rows than in the standard library. Does this mean that the extended library has even finer range (for different speeds) for the detache and staccato etc., samples? That would be cool.

The integration across all the instruments and samples in VSL is quite amazing. i.e., the orchestral strings has the identical type of articulations as the solo strings etc.,, as it should be.

    thanks

    Hello Anand,

You get a lot more detail and choice in the Extended Libraries parts of all our products, see the Sample Content for Solo Strings I.

I have just sent you an activation code for a demo -license for the Extended Library, so that you can check out the details on your computer (the sample content is already on your harddrives).

These demo licenses work for 30 days/30 starts.
Once the 30 starts are used up, you can recharge them as often as you like by clicking "Maintenance" in the eLicenser Control Center (within 30 days).

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thank you, this is wonderful.

The only problem is that after trying the extended I will like it so much that I would be compelled to buy it too. Very clever business model ;)

But seriously, Thank you for the outstanding products and customer service!
