    Hello the wonderful VSL community,

    I am a complete newbie to VSL and to MIDI composing in general and I want to say it has been quite the research venture, but I have come across a situation I cannot find an answer to.

    In the non-pitched SE percussion sections (e.g. "Drums" or "Percussion"), is there any way to identify which keys play what kind of sample or do I just have to experiment and guess what kind of instrument sound is playing?

    A second question I have: Under the VI patch tab for percussion, some of the patches indicate the AB keyswitch toggles long/short RS. What does this mean and what does it change? because I don't notice any audible difference when toggling between the low A and B.

    Welcome Nakashi,

    You´ll find the Library Manual helpful for all mapping questions.

    The A/B Switch is mostly assigned to A0/B0. Depending on your sequencer, this could be shifted one octave (unfortunately there are 2 standards), so please try one octave lower or higher.

    You can also set the C4 for all Vienna Instruments in the Vienna Instruments "SETTINGS" (the button to the left of the Basic /Advanced View).
