  • Alto Sax extended and Auto Humanize

    Hello everybody,

I have a weird problem with the Auto Humanize feature when trying to add humanizing to the Alto Sax extended in one shot by right-clicking onto the matrices on the left hand side.

    Nothing happens at all.

The VI pro (version 2.4.13670) is loaded into Ensemble Pro 5 (latest version stated by "look for updates (v. 5.4.13741)).

I also opened VI Pro as a stand-alone, loaded the Alto Sax and had no problems to add humanizing the way mentioned above.

So I saved the Alto Sax as a new instrument. When adding this in Ensemble Pro again all added humanizing is gone.

I re-opened the newly created Alto in a stand-alone and all settings are back again.

    What is going on there?

This problem occurs only with the Alto Sax Extended. Other instruments are not affected.

    Any ideas`?

    Kind regards
    Andrew Noah Cap

  • PS: I double-ckecked all settings and actually all humanize-settings are gone when saved instruments are loaded in Ensemble Pro.

    Am I missing something?

Will do a check to see what happens when Ensemble Pro is running in stand-alone mode (not connected to Cubase 7.5)

EDIT: I have checked Ensemble Pro 5 in stand-alone mode. No auto-humanize !!!
Manually adding humanising cell by cell works. I am just wondering which updated has ruined this feature.

    kind regards

  • Hi Wizzarts,

Thanks for reporting, I'll check right away.

    Did it ever work before?

    Best,

  • Hi Paul,

thanks for your quick response. Well, it worked for the last year until I did some updates for Ensemble and VI Pro.

All istruments are affected and one can say all humanize-settings added via "Auto humanize" are gone in Ensemble.
When these instruments (saved instruments) are opened with a VI Pro stand-alone at any time all settings are there.

Somehow this makes no sense at all. :)

    kind regards

  • Hi Wizzarts,

Works fine here, checked under OS X 10.10.4 with latest VSL Software.

Which OS are you working on? What are your VI PRO settings (the SETTINGS button is to the left of the version number, in the upper right corner of VI PRO)?

Can you send me a few screenshots to support@vsl.co.at, maybe also include a few small songs that show this behaviour?

    Thanks,
    Paul
