I'm currently realizing a sinfonia by Albinoni using Solo Strings I - Standard. It has a lot of fast scalular runs and arpeggios. So far, I'm doing ok with the articulations in the standard version. However, when I look at the articulations available for the extended version, it makes me wonder if I would be able to do a better job realizing this piece using them in addition to the standard articulations.
One articulation in particular that caught my eye is the marcato fast interval. My question is whether it would be more suitable for fast runs than using the non-performance staccato articulation that comes with the standard version.
Has anyone had any experience using the fast performance articulation in the extended version? I'm not particularly interested in the sampled runs but more the performance articulations like staccato, spiccato, and marcato.
Thank you for any advice.
