  • MIR Pro and Studio One 3 Pro

I have an urgent request concerning the use of MIR and Studio One 3 Pro. In my latest project, I've been using Mir Pro to create the playing room. The result is more than pleasing, BUT... Every time I reopen SO3, the MIR settings have disappeared, it simply starts in its original state (without a venue and any of the chosen values). It seems that the MIR-settings are not being saved along with the SO-settings. That is very annoying, but I assume that there is a simple solution for it. I'm pretty new to SO (I used to use Logic Pro before, with Notion) so I still have a lot to learn and discover. Is there anybody who can help me with this matter?

    I would be very grateful!

  • Hello Max,

good to hear that you like MIR Pro. :-)

I have no experience with Studio One myself, but I know for sure that there are several users of this DAW working with MIR Pro without problems (otherwise our support mailbox would have been full with their complaints! ;-) ...). I hope that fellow users of Studio One will join this discussion with first-hand experience.

In the meantime, please send a short notice to support@vsl.co.at with reference to this thread. We'll look into it ASAP.

Until the issue as actually solved, you could try the following workaround: Store and recall MIR Pro's Venue settings manually by means of the "File > Save / Open" commands from the pulldown menu in MIR Pro's Main Window. (... this won't save Icon/Instrument-specific settings, though.)

    Kind regards,

  • PS: Are you using MIR Pro in its plug-in version or as part of VE Pro?

  • I use it as a plug-in. The score is not so huge, so I don't really need the VE Pro (which I otherwise use regularly to keep the memory load out of the application (DAW or notation program). But here, it's only a plug-in.

  • Understood. I just wanted to make sure that it is not a VE Pro-related issue.
