  • Staccato Clicking Noise in a Violin Sample

I just now noticed a clicking sound on the Staccato samples in the Violins from the Vienna Essentials library. Has anyone noticed the clicking sound on the following notes above middle C, namely the F#4, G4, G#4, and A4 keys? The sample is the 01S VI-14 staccato and the most obvious velocity at which to hear the clicking sound/artifact is between the velocity sensitivity of 56, 89.

The other strings are fine i.e., celli, violas, and db's. It's just those notes in the aforementioned range for the violin. I am using a pair of Yamahas and also listened through a pair of MDR-7506. The headphones are much more revealing. I suggest using headphones and use a notch filter to isolate the click at around 7500Hz (between 7 and 8kHz).
