  • vibrato in strings

One of my main problems with many strings libraries is that vibrato is either on or off, or that it comes in presets with specific times e.g. 2 seconds, whereas in real life it is not binary, there are many degrees of vibrato, always changing. is there some way to get this kind of flexibility in the VSL strings libraries? I have not found it so far ....

    Thanks,

    Alan

  • Use cell xFade for non vibrato to vibrato patches. This works well in some scenarios.

  • Thanks, that's some use. :-)  Although doing it on every second note is going to be quite some job! Ideally some kind of real time controller would be best, e.g. mod wheel ....

If your MIDI keyboard allows you to remap controllers, you could be able to assign the CC for A/B switching to the modwheel.
    Hope it helps.
