  • Installing Vienna Instruments with Library already on hard drive

    Hi all,

I'm new to the forum so I apologize for the newbie question.  (I did do several searches and couldn't find the answer)  I've been using VI and VE Pro with no problems on my previous mac.  Now, I am moving onto a new mac and am in the process of installing all my samples onto it.  I have installed VI and VE Pro successfully as they show up in Pro Tools.  However, the presets are not present when I create an instance of VI.  I already have all the samples (downloaded and installed from the previous mac) on my external drive.  I was wondering if there's a way for me to "point" VI and VE Pro to the folder so the presets would show up.  Or is re-downloading and re-installing everything the only viable way?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

Please open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").

Remove all folders - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.

More information about how the Directory Manager works can be found in the video "How to use the Directory Manager".

    Best,
    Paul
