  • [SOLVED] 5 Missing Cellos

    Hi.

I have just noticed that my Dimension Cellos are only seeing Player 1. All the presets are fine, updated eLicenser, all the files are as they were on my drive, rescanned with Directory Manager but, whatever I load fires up fine but only Player 1 is ever available - all other slots are there, but struck out in red. When I look at the patches through VI pro in order to redrag only Player 1 is evident. Anyone had anything like this? It only seems to be the case with Dimension Cellos.

  • Hi Dominic,

That sounds like you lost the connection with your sample content for some reason.

Please open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").
Then remove all folders - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I did that again just now and the same result - all things are perfectly normal except I can only see Player 1 of the cellos listed in the patches window and only the samples for Player 1 successfully load into any/all of the presets when I look using VIpro Standalone - which I reinstalled. I am currently downloading to reinstall Dim Cellos although all the files look normal in the folder (90 x Dimension-Cellos.dat at 536.9 MB plus 4 more smaller ones).

  • Hi Dominic,

That´s very strange... let me know if the new installation helped.

  • Will do.

This is what I see ...

  • Problem solved.

I moved all the Dimension Cello files out of the folder and rescanned using Directory Manager without them. This left me with no Dim cellos (obviously :-) ..). I then restarted and replaced the files and rescanned again. When they returned they were all present and correct.

Please mark as SOLVED and thanks for your input Paul.

    Best,

    Dominic
