  • Holy Day Overture (updated)

Part I of my current work in progress was made better by various comments from internet friends and not-so-friends. Parts II and II are now online too, and more comments would be appreciated.

[edit] links updated below, and new score link for pdf format . Recordings now use gigapulse for almost all the orchestral samples [/edit]

All use a combination orchestra with heavy tuning of all notes. VSL solo strings, GOS strings, AO orchestra, and Kurzweil 2600 Orchestral rom. Tuning for many instruments is now semi-automated, with Cakewalk CAL programs run in sonar applying pitch bend appropriately to the key and specific instrument. Faster than by hand, but more error prone so far. Interesting footnote: I recently found reference to Mozart's tuning, as taught to him by his father Leopold, and it is very similar to the tunings I'm using. (And WAM has ALWAYS been my favorite composer).

  • WAM? You mean WHAM?

    Sorry, couldn´t resist... [:D]

    The not-so-friend guglielmo thread hijacker. [8-)] [[;)]]

  • I just hear "Et exsultavit spiritus meus". The choir sounds totally amazing. I´d love to use it. What is it?
    Your friend,

  • Mathis, the choir is VOTA (Voices of the Apocalypse), with agonizing use of keyswitches and patch changes -- and even so, I'm not happy with that recording any more, just don't have time yet to go back and try once again. WAM, of course, is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ... don't know who "WHAM" would be, I think his other name was Chrysostotom or something like that.

  • Just posted the online score of Part I -- and updated recordings of part I, II . Part III and a first recording of the whole thing in a day or so.
