    Hello,

    I want to know more about the Repetition Tool. I have the Performance Set and the Legato Tool works fine.

    I can't see how the Repetition Tool works. I open a "rep" file and put Repetition in the software but when I play on my midi keyboard or play a midi file, I have a "gun shot" effect ... the same sampler is heard again and again ...

    I have another problem : why I have a little attack on the first time ?

    Anyone can help me ? send me a midi file with the patch used ?

    I will post a midifile tomorrow evening (MEZ)

    For the moment, please check, if you have selected the right trigger key (note). The lowest trigger key is defined by the Base function key.

    Just press this base function key, and the marker should be visible in the first row on the first step. If you play now (in the playrange of the instrument) the marker should jump to the next step, and so on.

    The repetition tool is not so difficult, but you have to read the manual carefully, because its a complete new technique. If you understand the basics you should not have any problems.

    However, I'll post an example tomorrow.

    So here is the little "help" midi file and a short description

    Please load the file VC-8_mV_po-rep9_8-115_f on midichannel 1 (or whatever channel you like)
    Import the midifile on the same channel into your sequenzer.
    Load the right setup on the same channel into the repetitionmode (VC-8_po-rep9_8-120).
    You find this setup file in the "rep-sets_strings" folder.

    Set the BPM speed of your sequenzer to 120 BPM.

    You should here now repetions played on the key G2.

    There are 4 little parts.

    9 repetitions (1st function key C6)
    7 repetitons (3rd function key D6)
    5 repetitions (5th function key e6)
    3 repetitions (7th function key f#6)

    If you look at the midifile in an piano roll or score editor you'll see the functions keys placed a quarter note befor the repetitons.
    It's important that the function keys do not overlap with the releases of the previous note.
    So if you want to have longer releases, you have to place the function keys very tight to the following reptitions.

    If you look at the edit mode of the repetition tool, you see the marker starts in the first row, steps through all 9 repetitions.
    Jumps a quarter note before the 2nd part in the third row, and steps through all 7 activated repetitions, and so on.

    Now you can try, how fast you can use this repetition gigfile.
    Set the BPM speed to 160 and play, than to 240 and play.
    Check how fast the repetitions work for you.
