    Hello there

     

    I purchased Vienna Special Edition - Standard Library (as it was then called) a few years ago and used to use it with Logic. I decided to start using it again and I’ve just downloaded the latest available software (Vienna Instruments & Vienna Ensemble Software 5.3 OS X build 13477)

    including the library update (00_SpecialEdition_LibUpdate_2011-11-13.viupdate) and library downloads (SE Vol 1 Strings Download etc etc).

     

    I Can use VSE in stand alone mode or with Ensemble fine but when trying to use it in Garageband the interface comes up but the preset, matrix and patch tabs are empty. I don’t know if this is because it’s just not compatible with the latest version of Garageband or some other issue.

    Hello Tim, 

    I´m afraid I have bad news for you.... Garage Band is now a "sand-boxed" software, which prevents communication with hardware copy protection (eLicenser, iLok...). 

    I hope you have an option to upgrade to Logic Pro X (which is now really the "bigger brother" of Garage Band.

    Many thanks for your reply. Nevermind... yes, I do need to upgrade to Logic Pro X then! I do find Garageabnd good for getting ideas down quickly though.
