Whenever I open a logic project after it crashes, all of my instruments remain on the Vienna Ensemble Pro interface because of the preserve function, so I don't need them to be reloaded again once I restart the Logic Project. Logic loads this metaframe again anyway when I reopen the project, and then I end up having twice as many instruments as I need. How do I make it so that when I open a Logic Pro X project, Logic doesn't automatically reload the Metaframe that the project was using?

You should disconnect all instances before you reload your logic session. The is a menu option called force disconnect all. I've assigned the key command control + D to that.

If you run VEP decoupled, you'll never have this (Logic is not charged to recall any of it, and this will consume less time overall and tends to be more stable). It will mean you have to get the VEP side together before launching Logic is all.
